Strategic Tax Credits & Incentives Advisor/ Consultant

HIGH-IMPACT ROLE IN TOP AI COMPANY SUPPORTING LARGE-SCALE INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS – This is a unique opportunity to provide support on tax credits & incentives for major infrastructure initiatives, partnering with internal teams and government authorities to drive tax strategy and secure significant incentives.

OPPORTUNITY TO LEVERAGE TAX CREDITS & INCENTIVES KNOWLEDGE BASE, NEGOTIATION AND GOVERNMENT RELATIONS EXPERIENCE – In this role, you will utilize your expertise in incentives, abatements, and credits while working directly with state and local, federal and international government agencies.

PROJECT-BASED ROLE WITH FLEXIBILITY – This is a 1–2-year project offering the opportunity to contribute to large-scale developments in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead efforts to identify, negotiate, and secure state and local tax incentives, including abatements and credits
• Negotiate directly with state and local government authorities on large infrastructure projects
• Support tax strategy and execution working with both the indirect tax and infrastructure tax council teams
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align tax planning with business objectives
• Analyze incentive programs across jurisdictions and assess financial and operational impact

Requirements:

• Strong State & Local Tax (SALT) background with expertise in incentives, abatements, and credits. Exposure to international tax negotiations for incentives, credits, etc., would be a strong plus.
• Proven experience negotiating with government authorities on large infrastructure or development projects
• Industry experience in telecom, data centers, or infrastructure preferred
• Experience in oil & gas (refining and pipelines) will also be considered
• Strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
