Job Description:

We are seeking a Principal to join our investment team based in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fast paced environments, an affinity for emerging technologies, and a propensity to building relationships. You will be responsible for finding the absolute best founders at the earliest stages. You don't need investing experience but you need to love technology.

This is an immersive full-stack investor role, reporting directly to the General Partners at the firm with mentorship from the existing investing team.

Responsibilities:

• Sourcing: Identify high-potential investment opportunities centered around the latest technology trends. Relentlessly build relationships with founders, investors and accelerators.
• Investing: Help us execute our seed at scale strategy by finding and meeting talented founders, diligencing opportunities, preparing investment analyses and managing your deals end-to-end.
• Building the Flex Brand: Host and attend local events. You will represent Flex in the Bay Area and will be instrumental in attracting the best founders to Flex.
• Supporting Founders: Build relationships with Flex founders building companies in the Bay Area.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in fast-paced analytical environments including startups, accelerator, incubator, venture capital, banking
• Track record of community or relationship building
• Exceptional written and communication skills
• People you have worked with put you in the top 1% of people they have worked with
• You are an A-Player and only want to work with A-Players
• You push everyone who works with you to move faster, and you enable them to move fast
• You are a “yes-and” person who is positive and motivates those around you with your enthusiasm

Nice to Have:

• Prior venture or angel investing experience
• Existing relationships in the SF startup ecosystem
• Technical / Product background
