Construction Litigation Attorney

Description:

A highly regarded California-based law firm is seeking a California-admitted litigator to join its Construction Litigation practice in Oakland. This is a hybrid role.


Practice Focus

Attorneys in this role can expect to work on a wide range of complex construction and facilities-related disputes, including:

  • Construction defect and delay claims;
  • Breach of contract, indemnity, and warranty disputes;
  • Public works and infrastructure project disputes;
  • Payment and performance bond claims;
  • Claims involving developers, contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and public entities; and
  • Risk management, claims avoidance, and pre-litigation counseling related to construction projects.


The practice involves all phases of litigation, from early case assessment through discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial.


Qualifications

  • Admission to the California Bar;
  • Significant experience handling complex litigation matters (ideally 3+ years of experience);
  • Experience with (or a demonstrated interest in) construction-related disputes; and
  • Excellent legal writing and research skills.
