Pay: $175,000.00 - $235,000.00 per year

Location San Francisco, CA. Preferably on-site with hybrid flexibility, with at least 3 days per week in the office.

Job Description

• Handle substantive employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery, and substantive briefs
• Manage key litigation workstreams with increasing independence
• Conduct and defend depositions and support hearing preparation
• Appear at hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences commensurate with experience
• Advise employers and employees on employment law risks, compliance, and strategy
• Support workplace investigations and internal employment assessments as needed
• Counsel clients on discipline, termination, wage practices, policy issues, employment agreements, separation matters, and claims evaluation
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and agency representatives
• Contribute to efficient case management and overall litigation strategy on significant matters

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation experience in state and/or federal court
• Strong employment litigation experience required
• Experience with discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour, or related employment matters
• Demonstrated experience drafting dispositive motions and managing discovery
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Working knowledge of California employment statutes and civil procedure
• Active California Bar admission required
