Location: San Ramon - Hybrid

12 Month Ongoing Contract

Pay Rate: 50/hr-55/hr

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to lead multiple engineering service projects across their full lifecycle. This role is remote-first, with occasional travel required to client sites in San Ramon and Sacramento. The ideal candidate will bring strong stakeholder management, operational oversight, and reporting capabilities to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project Lifecycle Management

  • Lead multiple concurrent projects through initiation, execution, and close-out phases.
  • Define project scope, identify stakeholders, and establish communication plans.
  • Monitor deliverables, manage team performance, and ensure alignment with Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Oversee financials including burden tracking, accruals, and burndown reporting.

Stakeholder & Team Coordination

  • Collaborate with 5+ stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Provide weekly reporting on deliverables and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Proactively manage team attrition and performance issues.
  • Navigate communication breakdowns and mitigate delivery risks.

Operational & Interview Process Support

  • Develop documentation to support service delivery.
  • Interview and select consultant team members.
  • Execute new contracts, manage change orders, and monitor funding allocations.

Reporting & Communication

  • Create weekly reports tailored to client expectations.
  • Collect and synthesize data from field engineers and consultants.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project management experience.
  • Proven ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Excel (beginner to intermediate), including custom report creation.
  • Experience with escalation conversations, 1:1s, and coaching team members.
  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong track record of cross-team collaboration and milestone delivery.
  • Willingness to travel for work-related purposes.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends with advance notice.
