Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized resident care. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality nursing services, supervises nursing staff, and maintains compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements. The RN serves as a clinical leader on the unit, supporting resident safety, quality outcomes, and collaborative care practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and initiate individualized care plans based on resident assessments upon admission.
  • Continuously assess resident conditions and update care plans as needed.
  • Communicate significant changes in resident status to appropriate members of the healthcare team.
  • Implement nursing interventions, including resident education and discharge planning as appropriate.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and provide guidance to licensed vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants.
  • Conduct shift rounds to establish baseline assessments and monitor quality of care.
  • Direct and supervise daily nursing care delivery on the unit.
  • Accurately and timely document all nursing care provided.
  • Assume charge nurse responsibilities and oversee unit operations as required.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Promote a professional, collaborative, and supportive work environment.
  • Accept reassignment as needed to meet resident care requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of acute or long-term care experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated clinical assessment, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
