• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360 - $2,480 (competitive travel RN pay)
• Location: San Francisco, CA 94158 (Bay Area / California nursing jobs)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 28, 2026 - July 28, 2026)
• Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (06:00-18:30 or 10:30-23:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: Pediatric Cath Lab / Interventional Cardiology (pediatric cardiac care)
• Orientation: 24 hours

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric cath/EP lab experience (pediatric cath lab RN or pediatric interventional cardiology nurse)
• BSN required
• Active California RN license (CA RN)
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Proven experience with pediatric/congenital heart cases and pre/post procedure care
• Epic charting system proficiency (electronic medical record experience)
• Ability to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75-mile radius as needed
• COVID-19 vaccination and booster required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Prior travel nursing experience within the last 12 months preferred
• Prior teaching hospital, PICU, or PACU experience preferred

Key Responsibilities (Pediatric Cath Lab Nurse Duties)

• Provide high-quality nursing care for pediatric patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
• Deliver pre-op and post-anesthesia care for neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients
• Monitor procedural sedation, administer emergency medications, and manage airway concerns during procedures
• Assist with central line insertion, management, sheath removal, and vascular access support
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; obtain and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Support cardiac implant and device closure procedures and provide device-related patient care
• Administer blood products, antihypertensives, antiarrhythmics, and thrombolytics per protocol
• Maintain infection prevention protocols, isolation precautions, and safe procedural environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, pharmacy, social services, and lift teams
• Float to other units or UCSF facilities as required to support patient care needs
