Shipping And Receiving Supervisor

Responsible for supervising shipping and receiving team daily activities. Verifies and keeps records on all outgoing/incoming finished goods.

  • Responsible for all shipments and deliveries to customers.
  • Responsible for packaging and shipping all finished goods in compliance with customer specifications and acceptable shipping practices.
  • Performs visual inspections on completed assemblies prior to and after packaging material for shipment.
  • Ensure all required labels and certifications and other documentation are present and filled out properly.
  • Coordinate all outbound freight. Prepare waybill and bills of lading.
  • Contact freight carriers to schedule pick-ups and follow up with any shipment that hasn't made its destination by the required time.
  • Inspect the forklift and delivery trucks daily, and schedules maintenance as required.
  • Enter required data into the ERP system.
  • Inspect all incoming goods according to company procedures.
  • Halt processing or shipping if nonconforming material is found.
  • Initiate corrective action to solve problems and/or preventive action to prevent problems after obtaining approval from Management, Quality or Engineering.
  • Label and isolate nonconforming material to prevent accidental use.
  • Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company, OSHA, and other standards and regulations.
  • Supervise shipping, receiving and wash team employees

Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of experience
  • 4+ years of experience in shipping, receiving and inventory control
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to understand and follow inbound/outbound processes from start to finish
  • Ability to use a computer and software related to logistics
