Role: Staff Product Engineer (Full-Stack) – AI-Powered Healthcare Infrastructure

Location: San Francisco, CA - Hybrid - 3 days in office

Salary: $200k-$280k + Equity

Backed by Greylock, SV Angel, Maverick, and SignalFire — alongside founders of some of the most recognized names in tech — my client is building the clinical and financial infrastructure that gets groundbreaking biologics, cell, and gene therapies to patients faster, powered by AI agents.

They work with the largest healthcare institutions in the US, covering more than $10B in drug spend across the country. Nearly every disease will become treatable in our lifetimes — my client is building the infrastructure to make that happen.

Why This Role

As a Product Engineer, you'll own full-stack features end-to-end — from backend architecture to polished front-end experiences — and help establish the engineering patterns that will scale with the company's rapid growth. This is a high-impact, hands-on role at the heart of the product.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and ship full-stack features across the core product
• Collaborate closely with Product to translate requirements into technical implementations
• Own projects end-to-end: backend services, APIs, data flows, and front-end interfaces
• Establish engineering best practices for quality, maintainability, and scalability
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making
• Debug, test, and continuously improve systems in a healthcare-critical environment
• Stay close to customer needs by working alongside PMs and implementation teams

Must-Have Experience

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with full-stack contributions
• Proficiency with modern web frameworks (React, Next.js, or similar) and backend services (Node.js, Python, Go, or similar)
• Experience designing and consuming APIs, working with databases, and building secure systems
• Track record of owning projects end-to-end in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Strong communication skills and a product-minded approach

Nice to Have

• Experience at early-stage startups, building product from 0 to 1
• Background in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industries
• Familiarity with AWS/GCP, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools
• Exposure to AI-driven products or agentic systems
