Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of MARAD vessels while in port and during dry-dock periods. Provides leadership and direction to shipyard teams and repair vendors involved in maintenance and repair activities. Supervises the installation, maintenance, and repair of marine propulsion systems, power plants, HVAC systems, and various mechanical and electrical components across vessels and marine facilities.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering from an accredited maritime academy or university, along with at least three years of experience as a Port Engineer for large ocean-going vessels; or five years of experience as a Chief Engineer or First Assistant Engineer at sea; or five years of progressively responsible ship repair experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An engineering license is preferred.
