Pay Range: $25-$35/hr

Employment Type: Temp to Hire

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Automation Technician to support automated manufacturing systems and robotics in a fast-paced production environment. This role partners closely with Automation Engineers to troubleshoot, maintain, test, and support automated equipment, robotics, and process controls. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician with strong mechanical, electrical, and automation experience who enjoys working on the manufacturing floor and supporting advanced automation systems.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support Automation Engineers in troubleshooting automated systems, robotics, and manufacturing equipment
  • Test, operate, and monitor automation equipment and processes
  • Assist with assembly and installation of automated systems (electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical)
  • Perform preventive maintenance on automation equipment (robot PMs, bearing greasing, battery changes, etc.)
  • Identify and help eliminate defects or process errors in automated production
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical drawings
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience supporting automation, robotics, or automated manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform system testing
  • Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered
  • Experience maintaining and supporting automation equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with LabVIEW is a plus
