Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations including transaction review, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Support payroll processes and benefits administration in partnership with external providers
  • Oversee accounts payable, invoicing, and vendor payments
  • Assist with month-end close and partner with external accounting teams
  • Maintain financial records and support audit and compliance efforts
  • Prepare internal reports, summaries, and ad hoc analyses
  • Help improve and streamline processes using modern tools and AI
  • Maintain internal documentation, policies, and operational workflows
  • Support reporting needs related to portfolio performance and firm activities
  • Light meeting coordination, travel, and logistics for senior leadership
  • Assist with meeting preparation, materials, and research
  • Support recruiting coordination and candidate scheduling
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations and vendor relationships
  • Support onboarding/offboarding logistics
  • Coordinate internal events, team gatherings, and occasional external events

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in operations, finance, or business support roles (startup, VC, or financial services environments preferred)
  • Strong understanding of financial processes (reconciliation, AP/AR, payroll coordination)
  • Comfortable working with financial and operational systems (e.g., accounting, payroll, expense tools)
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Tech-savvy with a proactive mindset; comfortable leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with senior stakeholders
  • Organized, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities independently
  • High level of discretion with sensitive information
