Behavior Therapist – DIR/Floortime

Location: California (In-Home & Clinic-Based)

Schedule: Part-Time | 20–30 hours per week

Pay Rate: $30–$35/hour (flexible based on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and developmentally focused Behavior Therapist with strong interest in DIR/Floortime therapy to support children and adults in both in-home and clinic-based settings throughout California. This role emphasizes play-based intervention, social-emotional development, mentorship, and caregiver education within a collaborative ABA and DIR-integrated model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide DIR/Floortime-based therapy to children and adults with developmental, social-emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Facilitate play therapy, social skills development, and relationship-based interventions
  • Build meaningful therapeutic relationships that support emotional regulation, communication, and engagement
  • Collaborate with clinical supervisors and interdisciplinary team members
  • Provide parent and caregiver coaching, education, and mentorship to support carryover across environments
  • Document session notes, progress, and treatment updates in compliance with company and state guidelines
  • Deliver services in both in-home and clinic settings, as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a social services–related field, such as: Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, Research & Development, Related behavioral or human services discipline
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in: Field of study or Childcare, child development, or related human services experience
  • Strong interest in developmental, relationship-based, and play-centered therapy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a clinical team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DIR/Floortime, play therapy, or social skills intervention
  • Background working with individuals with autism or developmental differences
  • Experience providing parent or caregiver education
