Our client, a leading autonomous vehicle company, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join their dynamic team. As a Quality Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the inspection and quality assurance processes within the manufacturing and engineering departments. Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $40-48/h + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Evaluate inspection and quality requirements for new Jira tickets, interpreting inspection plans and conducting visual, functional, and mechanical measurements across a variety of parts.

• Review supplier documentation for outsourced parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

• Create and submit detailed inspection reports, dimensional reports, functional test reports, and other quality documentation in various databases and logs.

• Document and record non-conformances discovered during inspections, utilizing TDOs and Jira tickets to track issues and resolutions.

• Perform metrology tasks using CMM, 3D laser scanners, and other standard measurement equipment, maintaining calibration schedules for all testing tools.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of an associate's degree in a relevant field with at least 6 years of experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Experience in mechanical, electrical, and electronics equipment inspection, with proficiency in using precision measurement tools.

• Knowledge of defining and executing quality inspection criteria for CNC machined and 3D printed parts.

• Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and core quality tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, and Measurement System Analysis.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings using GD&T methodologies, with strong communication skills both oral and written.
