Operations Manager

Description:

I'm currently partnering with a well-established, highly specialized manufacturer supporting aerospace, defense, and high-reliability industries. This organization is known for its complex electro-mechanical products and strong growth within a larger, well-backed parent company.

We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, drive performance improvements, and support long-term scalability across production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across manufacturing, production, and shop floor activities
  • Drive improvements in throughput, on-time delivery, and overall operational efficiency
  • Own and drive EBITDA performance by managing cost, productivity, and operational efficiency
  • Partner closely with engineering, supply chain, and quality to ensure smooth production flow
  • Lead and develop supervisors, technicians, and production staff
  • Implement and maintain Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Manage production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Monitor KPIs (OEE, scrap, yield, labor efficiency, etc.) and drive corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards (AS9100 / ISO) and regulatory requirements
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and transition into production
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions for growth

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5–10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations leadership
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred
  • Strong understanding of electro-mechanical or high-reliability products
  • Proven leadership experience managing production teams
  • Experience driving cost reduction and EBITDA improvements
  • Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
