Role: Senior Software Engineer (Founding Engineer)

Location: Onsite San Francisco (Remote Options, but must travel to the office once a month)

Salary: $200k – $250k + 0.2% to 0.5% (dependent on person)

I am conducting a search on behalf of a VC-backed early-stage startup based in San Francisco. The company has recently raised a significant amount of capital and is building an agentic platform focused on sales.

The idea:

This is not another sales tooling company, the focus is on building an agentic platform that can actually run large parts of the sales workflow end-to-end.

Today, sales is still highly manual, prospecting, follow-ups, CRM updates, and pipeline management. The opportunity here is to move from tools that assist, to systems that operate.

The goal is to compress hours of manual work into autonomous processes that happen in seconds.

What you will do:

You'd be joining at the very beginning, working directly with the founders to shape both the product and the technical direction. This is true founding-level ownership.

The problems are genuinely interesting, designing agentic systems that can manage workflows, handle edge cases, operate reliably, and integrate into real-world sales processes.

This is for someone who wants to build from zero, move quickly, and have a meaningful impact on what the company becomes.

Stack is Python / TypeScript, but flexible depending on how you think about building systems.
