Location: San Francisco (in office)

Compensation: Up to 300k (some flex) + equity US Citizen or Green card Holder only

We are currently partnered with a YC-backed Fintech that is an AI driven accounts receivable platform that integrates with ERP and accounting systems for Fortune 500 enterprises. Founded by MIT and Harvard alumni who already have a successful exit under their belt. They are in search for a hungry engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Stay hands-on with the codebase to drive architecture, debug critical issues, and set technical direction.
  • Team Delivery: Lead a team of 5–6 engineers to ensure high-velocity execution and high-quality output.
  • Talent Development: Hire, mentor, and retain top talent; coach engineers on system design and career growth.
  • Product Partnership: Collaborate with Product and Design to define roadmaps and manage technical tradeoffs.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish scalable practices for code reviews, incident response, and performance.
  • Strategic Execution: Translate ambiguous goals into actionable plans and foster an accountable, low-ego culture.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years in software engineering and 2+ years in engineering management (Series A+ startup experience preferred).
  • Education: BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Execution: Proven track record of shipping products quickly without sacrificing reliability.
  • People Skills: Strong history of hiring and leveling up engineering teams.
  • Mindset: Pragmatic product sense, excellent communication, and comfort navigating ambiguity.
