Description:

We're looking for a highly organized, warm, and resourceful Office Manager & Events Lead to be the backbone of our San Francisco office and a key driver of our in-person community experience.

This is a hands-on, in-office role based in San Francisco, focused on keeping the SF office running smoothly and planning and executing high-touch events for founders, executives, and investors. You'll be the go-to person for office operations, event logistics, and creating a welcoming, polished environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

You'll also support our Managing Partner when he is in SF and partner closely with the broader team on events, community programming, and internal operations. This role is ideal for someone who loves bringing people together, thrives on logistics and details, and takes pride in running a beautiful, well-functioning office.

Responsibilities

Office Management & Operations (SF Office)

  • Own day-to-day operations of the San Francisco office.
  • Manage office vendors (cleaning, internet, security, utilities, repairs, supplies, etc.).
  • Restock and maintain office supplies, snacks, beverages, and kitchen essentials.
  • Ensure the office is always guest-ready, organized, and running smoothly.
  • Welcome and host visitors, founders, executives, and investors in the SF office.
  • Manage office access (keys, badges, security, visitor access).
  • Onboard new SF-based employees (workspace setup, access, equipment, orientation).
  • Serve as the point person for all SF office needs and issues.

Events & Community Programming

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute founder, executive, and investor events in San Francisco.
  • Founder dinners
  • Executive roundtables
  • Investor events
  • Community meetups
  • Handle all event logistics: venues, catering, rentals, guest lists, invitations, RSVPs, run-of-show, and on-site execution.
  • Partner with the investment and platform teams to create high-quality, high-touch experiences.
  • Manage relationships with venues, caterers, and event vendors.
  • Ensure events feel thoughtful, polished, and on-brand.

Executive & Team Support (SF-Focused)

  • Support the Managing Partner when he is in San Francisco:
  • Light calendar coordination
  • Meeting logistics
  • In-office scheduling and hosting
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the SF-based team.
  • Help coordinate internal meetings, offsites, and team gatherings in SF.
  • Assist with internal tools, CRM hygiene, and light operations projects as needed.

Ideal Candidate

  • 2+ years of experience in office management, events, operations, hospitality, or community roles
  • (VC, startups, tech, a plus).
  • Thrives in an in-office environment and enjoys being the "hub" of a team.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Strong project manager with excellent follow-through.
  • Warm, professional, and comfortable hosting founders, executives, and investors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities and stay calm under pressure.
  • Strong vendor-management and logistics skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience planning professional or high-touch events.
  • Background in startups, venture capital, or tech.
