Legal Practice Group Managing Director (Emerging Growth) – Silicon Valley | Hybrid (Palo Alto or San Francisco)

Trustpoint.One has partnered with a leading AmLaw firm as a Legal Practice Group Managing Director supporting a high-growth Emerging Growth practice in Silicon Valley. This long-term, open-ended contract role is hybrid in nature.

In this highly visible role, you'll partner with law firm leadership and directly engage with clients to strengthen relationships, drive operational excellence, and elevate financial performance across a dynamic portfolio.

What You'll Do

• Lead Financial & Matter Strategy: Oversee budgeting, billing, collections, and profitability—ensuring matters are executed efficiently and in line with client expectations.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Act as the central connector across finance, billing, marketing, and legal teams to deliver seamless, high-quality client service.
• Enhance Client Relationships: Partner directly with clients and attorneys to address needs, ensure compliance, and support long-term growth.
• Champion Innovation: Identify process improvements, optimize workflows, and leverage technology to increase efficiency and reduce administrative burden.
• Shape Strategy: Play a key role in practice group planning, execution, and performance tracking—adapting to evolving market conditions.

• Strong financial acumen (billing, WIP, collections, profitability)
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders

Qualifications

• 10+ years of law firm/practice management experience
• Bachelor's degree required; JD preferred
