Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH is seeking an experienced Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and contributing to process improvements while supporting a scaling finance function. The anticipated salary for this role is between $85,000-$105,000 a year.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll and maintaining payroll records
  • Managing vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payment runs
  • Reviewing and processing employee expense reports and reimbursements
  • Maintaining vendor records and collecting tax documentation (W-9s)
  • Supporting month-end close activities including reconciliations and accruals
  • Assisting with 1099 preparation, compliance, and audit support
  • Partnering with finance and accounting teams on process improvements and system implementations

Qualifications:

  • 35+ years of payroll, accounts payable, or general accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
  • Experience with systems such as Bill.com, Sage Intacct, Concur, Rippling, ADP, or similar platform
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
