Description:

Maintenance Technician II

As a Maintenance Technician II, you will utilize your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. Additionally, you will develop your skills and mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
  • Maintain positive working relationships across all of the Operations facility.
  • Track and store department inventory.
  • Move up to 49lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Essential Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
  • 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • 1+ years of metal and wood fabrication.
  • 1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
  • 1+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
  • Must be able to use a multimeter.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
  • Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.

Work Environment:

The position involves physical demands such as reaching arms above head, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps/ladders, and frequently lifting a maximum of 50 lbs. of equipment. Employees are required to wear a mask, face shield, and composite-toed boots. The role involves movement between departments, floors, and properties, including walking 6 to 12 miles per day, and working in an environment with fluctuating temperatures. Regular computer work is required for 1-2 hours per day.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Richmond, CA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $73569.60 - $73569.60/yr. Company Benefits will be provided.
