About the Role: Crunchyroll, LLC is on the lookout for a passionate Software Engineer III, Android to elevate our Android teams. As a Software Engineer III, you'll be instrumental in producing robust applications that deliver content that will delight and engage our audiences, partners and internal stakeholders. You will also be ensuring our software products are of the highest quality and reliability. You will be a vital part of the development team, advocating for top-tier test methodologies and best practices, providing feedback on developer-authored tests, and providing strategic direction for our automated test coverage with comprehensive end-to-end system-level tests.

In the role of Software Engineer III , you will report to the Manager, Software Engineering - Android.

Qualifications
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • You have 4+ years of experience in software development
  • Proficiency in Kotlin
  • You are experienced with modern Android development tools and practices
  • Experience working with AndroidX and other Jetpack libraries, Kotlin Coroutines, MVVM, Android UI and animations, Ktor, accessibility
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose
  • You provide quality feedback on designs written by other members of the team
  • Experience with audio/video streaming with Exoplayer
  • Ability to provide architectural guidance on app features
  • Familiarity and working experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies
  • Excellent communication and creative problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with common CI/CD practices and GIT workflows
  • Commitment to producing quality code and documentation
