NOC Shift (2300-0700)
APPROXIMATE PAY RANGE:
$36.15 - $43.17
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Patient Care
Provides basic age-appropriate nursing care to patients under the direct supervision of an RN
Rehabilitation-Related Care
Performs non-skilled nursing duties that may relate to Rehabilitation to carry out the multi-disciplinary care plan for each patient (e.g. crutch walking)
Respiratory Care
Provides selected respiratory care to patients following accepted respiratory care practices, hospital policy and procedures, and physician orders (e.g. applies pulse oximetry, place in high fowlers position, etc.).
ECG
**Proof of all required educational levels due at time of hire.
Physical Requirements
The duties as described will require frequent standing and walking.
The employee will frequently bend/stoop, squat, reach above the shoulders, twist and turn, kneel, and push/pull.
The employee will frequently be required to lift/pull/push/move up to 50 pounds.
May occasionally perform CPR, push respirators, and cylinder carts, and frequently help position patients in bed and/or transport patients via bed/gurney.
Visual ability: Near acuity; 8 to 16, Mid-focal acuity: 16 to 3, Far visual acuity; 20 and greater.
Must utilize conversational speech for effective verbal communication.
Noise level is high in some patient care areas, must be able to hear equipment alarms, overhead pages, and direct verbal communication.
Hazards
Will have close contact with patients and is likely to come in contact with blood and body fluids.
Often exposed to infection. Will be fit tested for the particulate respirator.
Works with electrical equipment.
Occasional exposure to radiation (X-Ray).

Performs ECG's following Hospital policies and procedures
Places patient on a cardiac monitor
Documentation/Reporting
Documents and reports care delivered under the direct supervision of an RN, LVN, PA, and/or MD.

Demonstrates effective communication skills utilizing lines of authority appropriately.
Performs clerical and computer entry functions when needed, based upon services' needs.
Other Duties
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Clinical Nurse Supervisor/Manager (i.e. stocking supplies, transport, answering phones).
Required Qualification: License/Certification
1. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
2. EMT or Paramedic proof of attendance and completion/certificate or diploma from an accredited school for EMT training preferred.
3. C.N.A. or MA certification preferred.
4. Sexual Harassment/ Bullying Prevention Certification required. (1 month from hire)
5. Minimum six months of previous ER experience preferred.
6. Assaultive Behavior Training preferred.
*Proof of all required License(s) and/or Certification(s) due at time of hire.
Experience
Minimum 6 months preferred.
Skills
Demonstrates written and verbal competency in the English language.
Employees must demonstrate basic computer skills .
