Assistant General Manager (Internally we call this role a Senior Community Manager). This is a leadership role with a high-growth local business and includes an opportunity for scaling as the business grows.

With our beloved PALO ALTO and San Francisco MARINA studios already a staple in the Bay Area, we're poised for significant expansion. FitWise Pilates in Mill Valley joined the MNT Family in October 2024 and has already made an immense impact in the community. We're continuing the success with expanding the group fitness classes with MNTSTUDIO and continuing Fitwise, which is focused on wellness through 1:1 coaching.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management & Development:

  • Assist in recruiting, managing, and motivating fitness our amazing team for Community Managers (similar to front desk staff)
  • Mentor and train our Community Managers
  • Own the schedule and fill-in when necessary
  • Attend all required MNT or FitWise corporate meetings, webinars, and trainings while also continuing to develop more of our own
Sales & Customer Experience:
  • Own the the incorporation and execution of sales strategies to meet monthly membership goals
  • Generate and follow up on leads, manage personal sales targets, and ensure effective closing
  • Motivate the Community Manager team and help support them on hitting their sales targets
  • Provide outstanding customer service, responding to client inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Conduct facility tours, building relationships by addressing prospective members' individual needs
  • Clearly communicate available services to current and prospective members
Studio Operations:
  • Review key studio metrics to find areas of improvement and optimization
  • Ensure studio cleanliness, organization, and adherence to MNT standards
  • Participate in local and special events (e.g., health fairs, grand openings, community events) to promote MNTSTUDIO
Marketing Support:
  • Plan and attend at least 1 community event per month.
  • Manage Social Channels and help build/design social assets/designs
Additional Duties:
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support overall studio operations and growth
  • Monitor and report studio performance metrics regularly with management
  • Assist in managing studio inventory (retail items, supplies, etc.)
  • Support coordination of equipment maintenance schedules
Requirements
  • Excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills required
  • Goal-oriented with an ability to achieve sales in memberships, retail, private training, and teacher training
  • Ability to learn and use the Mindbody and MarianaTek software system
  • Ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hours throughout the workday
  • Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills via in person, phone and email
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Must have proficient computer skills
  • Must have a desire to learn and implement AI in your daily work
  • Must be flexible and willing to work weekends and holidays as required
  • Experience with Canva is a big plus
  • Experience with Social Media platforms such as Meta/Instagram
