Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our high-security facility. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that ourinventory is accurately maintained and distributed efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices.

  • Maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items.

  • Input data using computers and Excel sheets.

  • Maintain records of merchandise shipped.

  • Examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory and on the manufacturing line.

  • Prepare kitting packages or conduct inventory counts as needed.

  • Complete the put-away function of received goods.

  • Perform CPD labeling according to customer requirements.

  • Operate a forklift after re-certification, if required.

  • Carry out any other assigned tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in inventory management and data entry, particularly with Excel.

  • Computer literacy is essential.

  • Ability to lift, push, and move up to 50 pounds regularly.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Capability to stand for prolonged periods.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written directions.

  • Teamwork-oriented.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with inventory cycle counts.

  • Forklift operation certification is a plus.

  • Experience with shipping, receiving, material handling, and pallet jacks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $23.00/hr.
