A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in grades K through 5. This role is situated in an engaging school environment in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young learners and possess strong skills in speech and language therapy tailored to early childhood and elementary education.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students in grades K-5
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans addressing speech and language goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication development
- Track student progress and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school policies
- Provide consultation and strategies to support classroom communication needs
- Valid credential or license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with children in grades K-5 within a school setting
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders relevant to early learners
- Ability to deliver culturally responsive services and communicate effectively with diverse populations
- Familiarity with educational laws and policies related to special education and speech services
