Histotechnologist

The Histotechnologist performs routine and specialized histology procedures to support research and preclinical studies. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality tissue specimens and ensuring accurate and timely processing in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform tissue fixation, processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining
• Prepare slides for histological evaluation, including H&E, special stains, and immunohistochemistry (IHC)
• Maintain accurate documentation and sample tracking
• Operate and maintain histology laboratory equipment
• Follow established SOPs and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Assist in method development and optimization of staining protocols
• Collaborate with scientists and pathologists to meet study objectives
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology, Biology, or related field
• HT (ASCP) certification preferred
• 2-5+ years of histology experience preferred
• Proficiency in microtomy, embedding, and staining techniques
• Experience with IHC and digital pathology systems is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
