A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist (OT) specializing in school-based therapy services, located in San Mateo, CA. This role offers the chance to support students across various educational levels, including elementary, middle, high school, and postsecondary settings. The position requires delivering therapeutic interventions tailored to students' needs to enhance their participation and success in the school environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct OT services to students within school settings, addressing sensory, motor, and functional skills to support academic and daily living activities.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in meetings, assessments, and consultations as needed to support student outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Occupational Therapy license and certification.
  • Experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric developmental and educational frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet diverse student needs.
Work Schedule Overview:
  • Elementary & Middle School: June 10 - July 7; 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM (4.5 hours/day with 15-minute grace periods before and after).
  • High School: June 15 - July 10; 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM (6.5 hours/day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break).
  • Postsecondary: June 16 - July 13; 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM (6.5 hours/day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break).
  • Note: No work on June 19 and July 4 (holidays).
