We're looking for OB Technicians for an immediate travel opening in San Francisco, CA. The right OB Tech should have 1 year of experience. Read below for more requirements.

As an OB Tech, you will work closely with obstetricians, gynecologists, and the surgical team to assist during complex procedures, ensure accurate preparation, and contribute to patient care by maintaining a sterile environment and managing surgical instruments.

As an OB Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

  • Procedure Assistance: Assist physicians during cesarean sections, hysterectomies, and other obstetric and gynecological surgeries
  • Sterile Technique: Maintain a sterile field, ensuring infection control protocols are followed during all invasive procedures
  • Surgical Instrumentation: Prepare, arrange, and pass surgical instruments to the surgical team in an efficient manner
  • Equipment Operation: Assist with the setup, sterilization, and operation of surgical instruments, drapes, and equipment
  • Emergency Response: Respond appropriately to any emergency situations that may arise during surgery, including maintaining supplies or assisting in rapid instrument changes
  • Post-Procedure Support: Assist with cleaning and sterilizing instruments and help prepare the operating room for subsequent procedures

The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as an OB Tech. Additionally, they should possess a current BLS certification, and NBSTSA or NCCT certification. State licensure may be required.

OB Techs should be able to stand or walk for long periods and must be able to bend, stoop, and lift with proper body mechanics. They should have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain focused in high-pressure environments. They must be comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical setting and supporting patients undergoing complex obstetric and gynecologic procedures.

Requirements*: BLS, NBSTSA, NCCT, CST, 2 Years
