Role: Technical Projects Associate (0–1 Years Experience)

Location: San Francisco, CA

Compensation: $90K – $130K (OTE: $180K - $260K)

I am partnered with an AI research lab to help hire a highly driven Technical Projects Associate to join their team. This opportunity is well suited to someone early in their career who thrives in a fast-paced, demanding environment and is comfortable taking ownership of projects and driving them to completion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with frontier AI labs to coordinate dataset generation projects, manage timelines, and ensure high-quality delivery

• Building and maintaining operational tools using AI (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude Code) and scripting to automate workflows, track metrics, and improve efficiency

• Managing teams of technical experts across software engineering, data science, and machine learning

• Creating technical documentation, project briefs, and data samples for customer presentations

• Supporting product development by gathering technical requirements, coordinating testing, and tracking feature releases

• Analyzing operational metrics and building lightweight dashboards to monitor project health and team performance

• Driving process improvements and building systems to scale operations as the company grows

• Working closely with engineering and research teams to support technical and operational coordination

Candidate profile:

• 0–1 years of experience

• Strong technical foundation with experience programming across the stack

• Prior software engineering internships or founding engineer experience during university is highly valued

• Ability to operate in a high-ownership, fast-paced environment

Compensation:

Base salary: $90K – $130K

On-target earnings: $180K – $260K (includes a performance bonus with a target of 100% of base and uncapped upside based on contracts closed)
