Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego, CA, for a Traveling Construction Superintendent (Microgrid). The role involves overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards, coordinating teams and subcontractors, and maintaining project schedules. The ideal candidate must have 10 – 15-years of experience as a Construction Superintendent and will report to the Director of Field Operations. Additional responsibilities include monitoring budgets, resolving onsite issues, and ensuring projects meet quality and regulatory standards. The superintendent will work closely with project managers and stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes. This role requires extensive travel to multiple project locations within but not limited to CA, UT, NV. Active projects are located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

· Constructability reviews

· Management of trade partners, vendors and field personnel

· Procurement coordination

· Pre-Task planning

· Quality assurance

· Daily reporting

· Risk management

· Site safety plan development & implementation

· Site Inspections and Material Verification

· Site Logistics

· As-Built documentation

· CalOSHA compliance enforcement

· Extended travel

· Digital Quality Control Documentation

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in Construction Site Management and upholding Construction Safety practices
  • Excellent Organization Skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • 10-15 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
  • Procore, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (70%-100% of the time)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel by air as needed
  • Ability to lift, bend and stand for extended periods of time
  • Background in the electrical trade, microgrids and site work is preferred
  • Prior experience in a traveling superintendent role is preferred
  • OSHA 30 certification is preferred
  • Safety regulations and compliance (CalOSHA, UT, NV) preferred

Candidate shall possess strong construction knowledge and plan reading abilities. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has good written/oral communication skills, and has a strong work ethic. Our Superintendents are our front line with our clients, for lack of a better term, the first impression of our company in many cases. The position requires skill, knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with a multitude of project stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits

· Position: Full-time

· Annual Salary Range: $100k-150k

· Allowances: Subsistence (where applicable), Fuel Card
