Work Setting: School-BasedLocation: Fremont, CAEmployment Type: Per Diem (Variable)Pay Range: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour DOE What Youll Do:Assesses the needs of pupils with speech or language disorders and matches their needs with programs available through the educational system.Reports progress to faculty members and meets with them on a regular basis to discuss their evaluations of students' skills as demonstrated in class performance and social interaction with other students.Develop individual speech and language programs based upon assessment results.Participate in the eligibility and planning required for development of the IEP when a communication disorder is present.Repeat evaluations on a regular basis to measure progress according to professional guidelines.Create and access multiple types of databases; utilize internet-based IEP document programs (such as Special Education Information Systems-SEIS or SIRAS); able to create documents using MS Office Power Point, Excel, and Word.Travel to school site within assigned region.Attend IEP meetings.Performs other duties as assigned. What You Bring:Valid California SLP License / CTC Credential or eligibility for a state waiverA valid license/RPE issued from Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board, California.Must be legally eligible to work in United States.Maintain a valid drivers license or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites, is required.Bilingual in Spanish preferred.Competencies:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
