Your Day at Lowe's

Your responsibilities will include maintaining stocked shelves and organized backrooms by unloading freight, moving products to the sales floor, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. You might also assist customers in locating or loading products. Most shifts require physical activity, and scheduling will include morning, evening, or overnight hours based on store demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support with their projects.
  • Stock merchandise efficiently by unloading freight, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
  • Support store operations by verifying deliveries, preparing the dock, and using equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to procedures for hazardous materials and equipment use.
  • Operate store equipment as needed, including scanners and various tools.
  • Collaborate with your team to tackle other assigned tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 months of experience operating forklift or power equipment.
  • 6 months of experience in a warehouse, handling inventory and stocking.

Travel Requirements

This role does not require regular travel; however, occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training sessions, or to support nearby stores.

Working Conditions

Work in variable conditions indoors and outdoors, with exposure to different climates including extreme heat or cold. You may face constant or intermittent noise levels and work with moving equipment. Lifting and handling vary; associates must follow guidelines, keeping lifts to 75 pounds alone, with team assistance for heavier weights.
