Operations Scheduler

Location: Oakland, CA

Schedule: Onsite | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Position Overview: This role partners closely with physicians, surgical offices, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient scheduling, timely release of unused block time, and maximum use of available OR capacity. The position is projectbased, nonlead, and ideal for someone who thrives in a fastpaced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgical scheduling within the operating room, ensuring optimal use of block time
  
• Collaborate with physicians and medical office staff to align surgical demand with OR availability
  
• Monitor block utilization, release unused block time, and reallocate OR availability as needed
  
• Track scheduling patterns and proactively identify opportunities to improve utilization
  
• Maintain consistent communication with perioperative stakeholders regarding scheduling changes
  
• Support realtime adjustments to schedules based on case volume and operational needs
  
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all scheduling workflows
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in surgical scheduling or a perioperative services environment
  
• Handson experience with OR scheduling and block utilization workflows
  
• Strong ability to coordinate with physicians and clinical office staff
  
• Proven organizational and timemanagement skills in a highvolume setting
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing needs
  
• Experience in a hospitalbased perioperative or surgical services department
  
• Familiarity with OR scheduling systems and/or EMR platforms
  
• Knowledge of block scheduling optimization strategies
  
• Experience working directly with physician offices or surgical coordinators
  
• Ability to analyze scheduling trends and recommend process improvements
  
• Prior experience in temporary or projectbased healthcare roles

Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
