Real estate or property management experience is not a requirement for the position. Any clerical, administrative, or management experience in an office setting would be a plus regardless of the field of the business.
WSB Properties is a property management company serving residents throughout the Bay Area. We are hiring an assistant manager to help with various tasks related to our operations. This would be a part-time position -- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday-- from 10am-3pm (20 hours/week). Hours are flexible if alternative hours are desired.
The position is mostly in office (~95%), but will require some local travel to communities in Hayward or Castro Valley. The address of our office is 558 Brewster Ave, Ste 102, Redwood City, 94063.
Some Duties include:
-Communicate with vendors such as PG&E, other utility companies, Comcast, etc. about account information or ongoing issues.
-Using company software (Appfolio) to send new leases, create forms, amend tenant information, and log rent payments.
-Post rental advertisements using previously establish templates.
-Pick up mail from our PO Box and sort through mail.
-Purchase office and apartment building supplies .
-File documents online.
-Some accounts receivable work: scanning rent checks with a remote scanner, bringing checks to the bank, etc.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with prospects, residents, peers, management.
-Computer proficient in Microsoft Office (email, calendaring, MSWord), as well as GoogleSuite.
-Detail oriented and organized; keeping accurate notes, details of leasing items, rent details, dates, and more.
-Ability to communicate effectively and promptly via text, phone, or email.
-Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and exercise confidentiality.
-Projects a professional image and demeanor at all times.
-Ability to be on feet and walking for part of a shift: walking properties.
-Good transportation and clean driving record.
-Understand, apply, and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications Required:
-High School Diploma or GED Required. Some college is preferred.
-Bilingual in Spanish and English highly preferred.
-At least a one-year experience in a customer service related environment.
-Flexibility in schedule; working some office hours and some local travel hours.
-Must have dependable form of transportation and clean driving record.
