Insurance Operations Director

San Francisco

Salary $200-225K plus bonus plus equity

Our client is an insurance broker, and is looking for an experienced insurance operations executive, as the company continues to grow.

Duties Include:

• Hire, mentor, and coach a growing team establishing performance rubrics, career ladders, and a culture of customer-centricity.
• Operationalize AI and automation to streamline routine administrative tasks, allowing the team to focus on high-value, complex insurance consultations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Sales, and operations to integrate customer feedback into the product roadmap and ensure seamless post-sale handoffs.
• Lead post-sale client experience for commercial insurance customers, owning the entire client lifecycle after the initial sale, including onboarding, policy servicing, renewal strategy, and overall account management.

Candidate Should Possess:

• Probably 10 years+ of brokerage operations experience, gained in relationship management, sales, customer success or account management
• Strong background in commercial Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance; familiarity with policy language, endorsements, and risk management is highly valued
• Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to elevate relationships from operational contacts to C-suite stakeholders and lead complex business reviews
• Comfortable with managing relationships with insurance carriers in all areas of commercial insurance for all areas of products
• CPCU and/or ARM or related P&C licenses are very helpful
• 4-year degree preferred in a business-related discipline
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Adapt and succeed in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable to work in the office full time.
