Description:

About the Role

A leading SaaS team is looking to hire an early-stage role for a highly ambitious Account Executive looking to make the leap into sales leadership. You will be a full-cycle AE responsible for establishing the sales foundation of the company. Your mandate is to prove your ability to close deals before earning the right to build and lead a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the full sales cycle, managing the process from initial outbound engagement through to closing deals, with limited reliance on roles such as SDRs or Solutions Engineers.
  • Drive outbound strategy by using the company's internal AI SDR tool alongside personal prospecting efforts to engage new prospects and position the product.
  • Lead consultative, thought-leadership-driven sales conversations around complex topics such as build-versus-buy AI strategies and ROI calculations.
  • Contribute to scaling the business by helping close the first $1M in deals and validating the sales motion.
  • Work closely with co-founders and the engineering team to navigate complex deal structures, technical discussions, and budget negotiations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Currently a successful Account Executive, ideally within a Series A, B, or C stage company, seeking to move beyond a purely individual contributor role.
  • Interpersonal Strengths: Exceptional charisma and engagement, with a proven ability to build strong, lasting customer relationships. The ideal candidate wins business through trust and rapport with clients.
  • Sales Fundamentals: Strong understanding of core sales practices, including progressing deals effectively, asking insightful questions, and demonstrating excellent listening skills.
  • Location: Based in, or willing to relocate to, the San Francisco Bay Area.
