Join Our Team as a Medical Assistant with Phlebotomy Experience!
Location: San Francisco, CA 94105 (On Site).
Schedule: As needed, weekdays, 7:45am-5:00pm, with the opportunity for a consistent Monday schedule.
Job Type: Per Diem. W2.
Pay Rate: $35/hr.

Full Description:
VitalCheck Wellness, as administrative agent, is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant with phlebotomy experience to work PRN in an outpatient clinic for a prestigious global wealth-management firm located in San Francisco, CA 94105. The employer is a licensed physician-owned corporation committed to providing high-quality healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the initial point of contact for patients, conducting assessments and vital sign checks.
• Engage with patients to discuss their concerns and effectively communicate with providers.
• Perform and collect specimens accurately, including phlebotomy and urine samples.
• Coordinate follow-up care and manage appointment/referral scheduling.
• Educate patients on essential follow-up care steps.
• Manage referrals and verify insurance coverage by contacting insurance companies.
• Input and upload patient results into the computer system.
• Provide exceptional customer service to enhance patient experience.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.

Requirements:

• Valid and active certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA) or an LVN with a clean, active license from the California Board of Nursing (CABON).
• Current BLS/ACLS certification is required.
• Experience in a clinical setting or a hospitality background is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
• Experience as a medical receptionist or assistant, including call and scheduling duties.
• Proven phlebotomy experience.
• Customer service-oriented, with the ability to work independently and demonstrate excellent bedside manner.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in using computers and documenting in EMR systems.
• Adaptable to change in a dynamic work environment.
• Must be able to reliably commute to San Francisco, CA 94105.
