As a Part-Time Safety and Security Officer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our facilities. Your responsibilities will include utilizing state-of-the-art security systems, monitoring traffic, conducting security tours, and overseeing both interior and exterior video surveillance. You will be an integral part of our Safety and Security team, protecting both Pixar's assets and its employees from potential threats such as fire, theft, vandalism, trespassing, or property damage. You will also help maintain the functionality of safety equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist employees to ensure smooth operations within the studio.
• Conduct regular patrols of the building and grounds on foot, scooter, or bicycle.
• Welcome visitors and employees, providing them with general information.
• Manage surveillance efforts through video systems and electronic technology.
• Respond to emergencies effectively, employing thorough training and adhering to all standard operating procedures.
• Document and report all incidents, maintaining daily security records.
• Ensure the safety of everyone during emergency evacuations.
• Oversee physical and electronic key systems, alarm systems, and fire equipment.
• Provide first aid assistance when necessary.
• Engage in ongoing training to polish skills and knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in building security preferred.
• Possession of a valid CA driver's license with an exemplary driving record.
• California BSIS Guard Card and standard First Aid/CPR certification (can be acquired within three months of hire date).
• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check.

*This is a Part-Time position

The hiring range for this position in Emeryville is $44,710.00 to $57,860.00 annually. The final compensation will be determined based on factors such as internal equity, the candidate's geographic location, related knowledge, skills, and experience.
