As a Consulting Human Resources Representative, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare organization. You will be responsible for recommending, developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating academic personnel policies, labor contracts, statutes, programs, and procedures. Your remit will cover a broad range of areas, including academic recruitment, appointment, and advancement; compensation and salary administration; welfare programs; visa procurement; benefits; payroll; training and development; academic personnel misconduct; equity; and labor and employee relations issues governing represented academic personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary academic contact for a set of client departments
• Develop and implement academic personnel policies, labor contracts, statutes, programs, and procedures
• Manage academic recruitment, appointment, and advancement processes
• Oversee compensation and salary administration
• Administer welfare programs, visa procurement, benefits, and payroll
• Coordinate training and development initiatives
• Handle academic personnel misconduct, equity, and labor and employee relations issues
• Analyze problems/issues of diverse scope and determine solutions
• Utilize MS Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel, for data management and reporting
• Manage calendars, organizational tasks, filing, and administration duties
• Handle leasing and expenses

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably within the healthcare sector
• Experience working on the lifecycle of an employee, including onboarding, managing payroll, handling employment issues, and offboarding
• Strong organizational and calendar management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office Suite applications
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience in a university or academic setting would be a plus
• Comprehensive understanding of UC, campus, and unit academic practices, policies, and procedures
• Ability to resolve moderate to complex academic personnel & HR-related issues affecting a broad range of academic titles in imaginative and practical ways.
