Job Details

We are seeking an Interconnection Customer Support Specialist to manage the technical, regulatory, and administrative processes of connecting renewable energy projects to the electric utility grid. In this role, you will act as a primary liaison between developers, engineers, and utility companies, overseeing the application process from initial submission to final approval.

Your mission is to ensure compliance, optimize project timelines, and assist enterprise clients in adopting solar products and services. While this role is remote (focused on California or Austin, TX), initial training will take place on-site at our Kansas City, MO office.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties

• Interconnection Management: Oversee the utility grid connection process for solar and battery storage projects, ensuring all regulatory and technical requirements are met.
• Client Consultation: Present product features to enterprise clients, providing tailored information on solar solutions that address specific business requirements.
• Agreement Execution: Guide clients through lease and purchase agreements, clearly explaining terms and coordinating timely execution.
• Documentation & Records: Maintain detailed client records within internal systems to support project visibility and administrative accuracy.

Required:

• 4+ years of work experience in a customer-facing role.
• 2+ years of experience in the Solar Industry.
• Residency in California (preferred) or Austin, TX.

Preferred:

• Direct experience with system activations or utility interconnection processes.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and enterprise-level project management.
• Experience in new home construction workflows.

Skills
