Position Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for leading construction projects from planning through completion. This role manages project execution, builds strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The Project Manager also mentors project teams and collaborates closely with internal departments and trade partners to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects
  • Develop project strategies and oversee project deliverables
  • Manage project budgets, cost controls, scheduling, and financial projections
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Direct and motivate project personnel and trade partners to meet schedule and quality goals
  • Manage contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other administrative obligations
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Oversee project buyout strategy in collaboration with estimating teams
  • Lead the master scheduling process with project superintendents and trade partners
  • Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders and provide recommendations for issue resolution
  • Ensure job site safety and compliance with company safety programs
  • Support business development efforts including client relationship building, industry events, and project pursuits

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and mentorship to project engineers, field engineers, coordinators, and project accountants
  • Promote a collaborative team environment focused on safety, quality, and accountability
  • Ensure adherence to project contracts and compliance requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • Strong understanding of all phases of construction project delivery
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and diverse teams

Experience with construction management and project software such as:

  • Revit
  • SketchUp
  • AutoCAD
  • Primavera
  • Navisworks
  • Microsoft Project
  • Viewpoint

Knowledge of QSP, SWPPP, LEED, and sustainability practices is a plus.
