Job SummaryThe Department of Pharmaceutical Services provides a full range of services for patients cared for by theUCSF Medical Center, as well as its providers and payers. These services include, but are not limited to drugprocurement, storage, and security; safe accurate and timely preparation and distribution of drugs; clinicalpharmacy services for patients; development of drug uses policies within the medical center; druginformation services for clinicians and patients; and participation in technology assessment and qualityassurance programs. The department encompasses the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, an academiccampus unit within the School of Pharmacy, which has a primary responsibility for teaching professionalcourses in the PharmD curriculum, research, and public service. The Department of Clinical Pharmacy andPharmaceutical Services share their philosophy of pharmaceutical care. Under Pharmaceutical Services, theInpatient Pharmacy, at Parnassus, Mount Zion, and Mission Bay Sites, provides pharmaceutical care topatients hospitalized at Moffitt, Long, Mount Zion and Mission Bay Hospitals and specialized services toresearchers on campus.The Specialty Pharmacy Clerk Senior is responsible for independently delivering exemplary customerexperience. This role encompasses register sales and other clerical duties.
