Our stewarding team is essential to keeping culinary operations running smoothly-supporting restaurants, bars, banquets, and in-room dining through behind-the-scenes excellence.The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and service areas by washing dishes, glassware, and cookware; supporting kitchen sanitation; and assisting with back-of-house set-up and breakdown. This role ensures the availability of clean wares and a safe, organized environment for culinary and service teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDishwashing & Ware Handling* Operate dish machines and glass washers safely and effectively.* Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen tools.* Sort and handle dirty wares safely; scrape, soak, and pre-rinse items as needed.* Maintain a steady flow of clean wares to support restaurants, banquets, and culinary production.Kitchen Cleanliness & Sanitation* Keep dishwashing, pot wash, and back-of-house areas clean and organized throughout the shift.* Clean and sanitize work surfaces, mats, floors, drains, trash areas, and back-of-house common areas per schedule.* Support deep-cleaning projects, including walls, equipment exteriors, storage areas, and other assigned spaces.* Handle trash, recycling, and compost (as applicable) and transport to designated areas.Safety & Compliance* Follow proper chemical handling and dilution procedures; maintain labeling and safe storage.* Use PPE as required and follow safe lifting, slip prevention, and machine safety procedures.* Adhere to all hotel policies and local health/sanitation requirements.Operational Support* Assist with banquet set-ups and breakdowns (racks, equipment movement, staging) as assigned.* Support Culinary and F&B teams with restocking, ice runs, and other back-of-house needs as directed.* Report broken/damaged items, supply shortages, and equipment concerns promptly.This is an hourly position with compensation from $28.83 per hour. This is also a temporary position with employment time of about 3 months.
