Serving as frontline ambassadors of the Global Security organization, Officers ensure a safe, welcoming, and professional environment while protecting employees, visitors, executives, Board members, contractors, and assets. This role blends premium hospitality with disciplined physical security practices, including perimeter protection, access control, emergency response, and real-time coordination with the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). Security Officers embody Gap lnc.'s 'Safeness for All' culture, maintaining strong situational awareness, technical proficiency, and customer-first engagement in a dynamic corporate environment. You will be part of a highly respected Global Security team that plays a critical role in protecting the people, products and experiences that create our house of iconic American brands.What Youll DoOverseeandensurethesecurityofallassignedareaswithintheSanFranciscocorporate headquarters,maintainingaconsistently safe andsecure environment.Managebuilding accessandsupport anefficient flowofemployees, contractors,andvisitorswhile enforcing security and access control spect,monitor,andmaintainsecuritycompliance acrossentrypoints,lobbies,commonareas, stairwells, and perimeter locations.Conduct regular interior andexterior patrolsto ensureperimeter integrity,identifysafetyhazards, and detect potential risks.Operateandmonitorsecuritysystems,includingCCTV/VMS,accesscontrol,radiocommunications, and life-safety systems.Coordinatewithemployees, visitors,contractors,andvendors,ensuringadherencetosecurity procedures and providing concierge-level service.Issue,manage,andretrieveaccesscredentials,includingtemporarybadges andcontractorpasses.Respondpromptlytoemergencies, alarms,andsecurityincidentsasthefirston-sceneresponder, ensuring proper escalation and communication.
