NTT DATA currently seeks a Chief Operating Officer to join our team in southern California.

Role Responsibilities

  • Strategic
    • Driving enterprise transformation across health plan operations, systems infrastructure, and digital engagement
    • Enhancing scalability, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and member-centric service delivery
    • Elevating organizational capability through leadership development and performance optimization
    • Serve as a senior member of the executive team contributing to overall company strategy and long-term growth
    • Executive oversight of group health plan operations, including claims, member services, utilization management, case management, IT, group administration and enrollment, and other core operational functions
    • Provide executive oversight of enterprise-wide initiatives and cross-functional programs
    • Guide teams to optimize workflows, systems, and performance metrics to improve efficiency and member satisfaction
    • Oversight of major system implementations, platform transitions, and modernization initiatives and provides recommendation of new programs, services, and revenue streams aligned with enterprise growth strategy
    • Architecting and executing an integrated operational and technology strategy aligned with enterprise growth objective
  • Operations
    • End-to-end accountability for operational effectiveness, quality outcomes, service performance, and regulatory compliance
    • Strengthen operational infrastructure to support a dynamic and evolving healthcare environment including development, implementation, and audit of operational work processes and systems
    • Drive innovation while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational excellence
    • Measure effectiveness of internal and external processes and implement improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
    • Develops and manages strategic vendor management and partnership development to enhance value and scalability
  • Technology
    • Lead IT and Data functions, including data governance, enterprise data warehousing, predictive analytics, master data management, network security, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
    • Define, execute and lead the TPA's forward-looking enterprise technology, data vision, and digital transformation strategy and develop a roadmap that aligns with long-term strategic objectives
    • Oversee all company technology platforms, architecture, infrastructure, and technical resources and make strategic recommendations to select, and implement new technology systems and solutions as needed
    • Building modern, data-driven infrastructure that supports predictive analytics and business intelligence
    • Monitor analytics, recommend technology-driven improvements aligned with business goals, and leverage analytics to drive operational improvements, using business intelligence to make smart, effective, long-term decisions
    • Drive member-oriented self-service operations and digital engagement initiatives by advancing member-facing digital solutions and self-service engagement platforms
Required Skills
  • 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, health plan administration, insurance, technology, or related industries
  • Minimum 5 years in senior leadership or executive-level role
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Information Technology, or related field
Preferences
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge of health plan operations, regulatory processes, and compliance requirements
  • Deep understanding of technology systems, infrastructure, and data strategy
  • Proven ability to align operational and technology strategies with overall business goals
  • Strong financial acumen includes budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
  • Exceptional leadership, team building, and change management skills
  • Ability to identify problems, offer solutions, and implement enterprise-level change

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is ($250k - $300k/Annual). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

This position is eligible for company benefits that will depend on the nature of the role offered.
