Data Engineer

Location: San Mateo, California Employment Type: Full Time

Job Overview

Revvo's purpose is to monitor and maximize the life of tires. Our Data Engineers create scalable solutions enabling real-time analytics on our datasets.

What You Do

• Create highly scalable and maintainable cloud-based data processing flows
• Collaborate with data science teams to understand efficient choices for implementation of machine learning algorithms
• Work closely with frontend and mobile teams to create effective APIs for consumption
• Automate infrastructure for monitoring data ingest and identifying bottlenecks
• Own the data storage (SQL, NoSQL) and access layers (GraphQL, REST)
• Ensuring compliance with security requirements

Required Skills

• Familiarity with Git, or modern version control system
• Experience testing code via unit, functional, and performance tests
• Familiarity with deploying, debugging, and monitoring cloud services

Nice-to-Have Skills

• 3+years of experience in Java, Scala and/or Go
• Experience in collection, storage, and querying of IoT data
• Familiarity with time series database systems
• An incredible drive for incredible drives
