Senior Escort Driver

Provides transportation to senior escort clients

Essential Functions:

• Transports clients to and from destinations.
• Teams with the Senior Escort Service Workers to assist clients in getting on and off the vehicle.
• Arrives at destinations on schedule.
• Researches and plans for traffic, construction and weather delays.
• Uses navigation applications to determine the best route.
• Interacts with clients professionally at all times.
• Follows the driver operating standards and procedures.
• Communicates and regularly reports changes in clients and issues of operation to the supervisor.
• Maintains vehicle in good condition and keeps records of all services, vehicle usage/mileage.
• Observes the conditions and needs of clients and provides appropriate assistance and referrals.
• Operates vehicles in a safe manner and adheres to traffic laws.
• Attends driving safety and/or in-service training as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate with at least two years of work experience required. Experience working with the elderly and/or adults with disabilities preferred.
• Must have and maintain a valid CA driver's license. Minimum of two years of driving experience with a satisfactory driving record.
• Must have an interest in working with seniors and adults with disabilities and be willing and able to climb stairs to the homes of clients.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must pass a strength test for physical fitness for the job; able to lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds.
• Must pass a drug test.
