Join a reputable healthcare setting as a Radiation Therapist supporting the Radiation Oncology department. This 13-week contract position offers the opportunity to provide essential radiation therapy treatments in a dynamic and patient-focused environment. The role follows a Monday through Fridayschedule with day shifts starting between 7:00 and 8:00 AM.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately set up and align patients using advanced imaging techniques to deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments.
- Assess patient status during direct interaction and coordinate with healthcare team members to provide appropriate referrals.
- Prepare for treatment delivery, including chart and film reviews, room setup, dose calculations, electronic medical record (MOSAIQ) checks, and treatment programming.
- Perform patient set-up and CT scans for treatment planning as required.
- Collaborate closely with fellow radiation therapists and team members to ensure smooth department operations.
- Respond to up to 36 hours of on-call availability during the assignment at no additional cost to the facility.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Radiation Oncology.
- Proficiency with Varian TrueBeam and/or MOSAIQ systems is highly preferred.
- Valid ARRT registration and California RTT license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
