The Eye Care Educator Specialist role is pivotal in educating and motivating Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) about their essential role in caring for cancer patients diagnosed with Relapsed Refractory Multiple Myeloma (RRMM). This position will operate closely with Hematology/Oncology teams, focusing specifically on training and empowering healthcare professionals (HCPs) to perform necessary eye exams and effectively communicate results to patients and the Hematology/Oncology teams.

Role Overview:

  • Lead and Empower: Inspire Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) on the significance of essential eye exams for patients and provide clear, actionable guidance for conveying results to patients and the Hematology/Oncology teams.
  • Impactful Training: Develop and deliver customized educational materials that equip healthcare professionals (HCPs) with a comprehensive understanding of vital patient care procedures.
  • Collaborate for Clarity: Partner with Oncology Account Managers and the Medical team to facilitate clear communication of product-related information, including REMS details, following FDA guidelines.
  • Support Care Coordination as Needed: Provide assistance in care coordination tasks as required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: A 4-year BA/BS degree is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in optometry, ophthalmology, or nursing, particularly in oncology or specialized medical education.
  • Alternatively, 1-3 years of direct clinical oncology experience, including oncology education, patient care, and physician interaction.
  • Advanced Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex oncology concepts clearly to Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) and other key stakeholders.
  • Collaborative Expertise: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Skilled in developing and delivering product-specific training and educational materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective engagement at all management levels and departmental functions.

Desired Requirements:

  • Preference for candidates with specialty pharmacy or payer experience.
  • Highly preferred: CRN, NPs, or PAs with eye care experience.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $160,000 to $167,500. This salary range represents the anticipated low and high for this role at Syneos Health. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency. In addition, some roles may include a company car or car allowance, and eligibility to earn commissions or bonuses based on individual or company performance.
